Dixon Cartwright continues where John Robinson left off
After the Worldwide Church of God (WCG) openly turned
against its former teachings in January 1995, some people, led by
John Robinson, started an independent newspaper called In
Transition, which chronicled the split up of the WCG, and the
development of its splinter groups. About 22 issues were published
from May 1995 to June 1997. After a while, it was felt that In
Transition had served its purpose and it was discontinued.
Dixon Cartwright, one of the men involved with the In
Transition newspaper, wanted to continue, so he started a
successor newspaper called The Journal. The
Links section of The Journal's Web site has
some of the articles in some past issues of the In
Transition newspaper.

John Robinson's father
John Robinson, former editor of the In Transition
newspaper, had a father by the name of David Robinson, who
wrote a book called Herbert Armstrong's Tangled Web.
Apparently, David had wanted his son John to reprint it
after David's death, but John seems to have just kept
quiet about it all. Newspapers don't always tell one all the
interesting stuff.
-
A newspaper half full of advertisements
Even though about half of each issue is now full of
advertisements for strange little groups, The Journal
newspaper still has the occasional interesting article about events
in the Worldwide Church of God (WCG) and its splinter groups.

Online books at The Journal's Web site
The Journal's Web site has now posted online a couple old
books that people might like to read:
Judah's Sceptre and Joseph's Birthright by J. H. Allen
The Two Babylons by Alexander Hislop
